Winter in Val Badia

Covered by a white blanket of snow the landscapes of the village of La Val in Alta Badia acquire a renewed charm. The beauty of the snow-capped mountains invites you to practice one of the many winter outdoor activities.

It is possible to reach two of the most famous resorts of the largest ski area in the world, the Dolomiti Superski.

In a few minutes by car (5 km) or by ski bus (50 meters from home) you can reach both the slopes of Plan de Corones and Alta Badia from where you can leave for the famous Sellaronda, for the Great War Tour or for a day trip on the Marmolada glacier.

Alta Badia also offers cross-country skiing centers in the village of La Val, San Cassiano and between Corvara and Colfosco, numerous toboggan runs and well-trodden paths for romantic walks in the snow and in the woods, in search of footprints of wild animals.

In La Val, 5 km from home, there are some beaten paths ideal for walks and for your sled descents, towards Armentara and Rit.

For the more adventurous, it is possible to go hiking with snowshoes, ski touring and tobogganing in Armentara, Fanes-Senes-Odle, Pütia, Pares, Rit, Sasso Croce and many other places.
